Welcome

We are no longer recruiting Guinea Pigs

The recruitment period is over, and it is no longer possible to sign up as Guinea Pig this year.

We are overwhelmed with the response and the interest you all have shown to take on the task as a Guinea Pig in Denmark.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for signing up.

We have now found all our Guinea Pigs and they are ready to go to Denmark to explore our lovely country full of happy Danes.

You can see a list of all Gunea Pigs on this site and you can also get to follow their stories at our new Guest Book. Should you go to Denmark anyway feel free to share your expirience with us in the guest book

Once again thank you very much for showing interest in our Guinea pig programme.

Kind regards
VisitDenmark

Being a Guinea Pig

Free the Dane in You

What does it take to be a Guinea Pig?

Our Guinea pigs must be inquisitive, adventurous, enthusiastic, and free spirited. We ask you to test as much as possible during your stay. What you choose to test is up to you, but it should be more than just the sun beds or TV channels in your hotel room.

As a Guinea Pig, you willl take on a job for VisitDenmark. We would like you to review your holiday in different ways. Firstly, you have to answer a questionnaire before, during and after your trip. But much more importantly we want you to share your experiences with us and the rest of Britain.

During your stay, you will be asked to document your holiday through a diary, photos or maybe even film it. You must be willing to publish you experiences in writing and for your photos to be shown on our website or other places suggested by VisitDenmark. You don't have to be a professional writer or photographer, as long as you can express your experiences in an interesting way.

City Break

Free the Dane in YouHot Hot Hot

Denmark is an ideal weekend break destination. With flight times less than two hours from London and many regional airports (See direct flights to Denmark) and with easy connections from the airports to the cities, a City Break in either Copenhagen, Aalborg, Århus or Odense is a hazzle-free experience - we think. Our Guinea Pigs will get to challenge our perceptions on this.

As a Guinea Pig you will get a free return scheduled flight to Copenhagen, Aalborg, Århus or Odense from a UK airport, and a two night stay at a hotel in a double room from Friday to Sunday incl. breakfast. For more details please see terms and conditions.

Coastal Holidays

Free the Dane in You

Coastal & Countryside Holidays
Denmark boasts more than 7,300 kilometres of spectacular coastline with sandy beaches, blue seas and lots of fresh air. Not surprising then that Denmark has a range of different accommodation options ready for anyone who wishes to rediscover the joys of relaxing in unspoilt countryside, historic picturesque towns or by the sea.

As a Guinea Pig Family you will stay either in a cottage, holiday centre or you can bring your own caravan and stay at one of the many camping sites in Denmark.
As a Guinea Pig Couple your stay will also be either in a cottage, a camping holiday using your own caravan or a stay at one of Denmark’s cosy inns.

Whether you’re travelling with a partner, a friend or your family, a holiday by the coast or in the countryside has a lot to offer. It can be as relaxed or active as you like. Rent a bike and go explore, take a walk or simply just enjoy a day by the sea.

A Coastal and Countryside holiday will either be a driving holiday using your own car, including an overnight return ferry crossing by DFDS Seaways between Harwich and Esbjerg, or a fly-drive holiday including return air tickets and a hire car for the duration of your stay. One trip willi nclude a flight and  stay at Lalandia Billund only. No hire  car included.
For more details please read terms and conditions.
