Accommodation

Escape the bustle

Danish seaside hotels ooze relaxed charm and cosy atmosphere. They are places to escape the bustle of everyday life to enjoy just being. You can spend hours out on deck chairs enjoying the view, chatting to other guests, swimming and walking in the local area or dining in style. They are the perfect place to be pampered and recharge your batteries.

Location

Denmark has over 40 seaside hotels spread out around the whole country. The greatest concentration is in North Jutland and along the West Coast, where you will find legendary hotels such as Ruth’s Hotel in Skagen and Svinkløv Badehotel at Slettestrand.

There are several seaside hotels located along the Little Belt and the northern coast of Sealand, for example the lovely old seaside resorts of Tisvildeleje, Gilleleje and Hornbæk. Bornholm boasts many seaside hotels with stunning views over the Baltic Sea.

Culinary delights

A stay in many of Denmark’s seaside hotels will mean the chance for you to sample meals by some of the best chefs around. Seaside hotels are a place where you can really retreat, sleeping and eating well in one relaxed location.

Season and Prices

The season for seaside hotels is normally from mid-April to mid-October, but more and more hotels in Denmark are open year round. Prices vary from place to place and you'll find everything from super deluxe hotels with spa and wellness centres to the more humble, rustic hotels. Typical prices for a double room with breakfast are 850 to 1,500kr per night. Several seaside hotels offer promotional weekend and mid-week stays.
