You can see spectacular views of the whole park at the Jernhatten ridge. The central area of the park is made up of high heathlands, forests and large open pastures, while along the coast there are many great beaches to discover.
Head out into Denmark’s second national park, the Mols Hills (Mols Bjerge) on the Djursland peninsula. Explore its hilly heathland, dotted with mulberry bushes, bogs, beach meadows and interesting sights, such as the ruins of Kalø Castle.
You can play on many North Sealand golf courses as a non-member and they are close enough to each other that you can try different courses out over one holiday. You'll find courses for golfers of all abilities in the region.
Beach life is an important part of North Sealand culture and there are different types of beach to tempt you. The North Coast is lined in places with steep cliffs, especially near Vejby and Gilbjerg Head, Sealand's northernmost point.
Bornholm has a strong tradition of craft artisans, particularly within the fields of glass work and ceramics. You can visit open workshops all over the island and see the artisans in action at places such as Hjorth's Fabrik, Bornholm's Ceramics Museum in Rønne.
Try the old coast walking trails and cycling routes for fantastic views of the island. If you dive, there are many shipwrecks along Bornholm’s north and east coasts waiting to be explored.
There is a long tradition of delicious smoked fish on the island, particularly herring, mackerel and salmon. Many of the smokehouses are still in use with the characteristic chimneys and tempting smoked scent.
Anglers head to Funen for some of Europe's best coastal angling spots, particular good for catching sea trout. You’ll find great locations for angling on both Funen and the South Funen Archipelago.
