Right north of Copenhagen you find Dyrehavsbakken (or in short Bakken). This is the world's oldest amusement park and Denmark's funniest.

The park is set in the in lush woodlands of Jægersborg Dyrehave, a wonderful green area, where you find yourself surrounded by 400-year-old trees and almost 2000 free range red deer, sika deer, and fallow deer. You sit two-by-two in a carriage that during the trip is turning on its own axis. The effect is almost 5G, and it feels like being trapped in the midst of a tempest.

Furthermore there are so many pintable arcades, games, and shooting ranges that Bakken is a true mecca for those eager to play.

Food, drinks and amusement

If you are more in the mood for quiet relaxation Bakken abounds in great places to eat, snack, or enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Or perhaps you fancy a pint of beer in the old London bus converted into a pub.

Among the evening entertainment not to be missed is the good old-fashioned cabaret at Bakkens Hvile. Here the 'singing girls' sing the frivolous songs they have been singing for the last 132 years.
