Copenhagen is the most liveable city in the world
“World-conquering urban quality of life requires the trickiest of balancing acts between progress and preservation, stimulation and security, global and local. Perfection is unobtainable but Copenhagen is striking one of the best deals right now.”
These are the words from the newest edition of the Monocle, where The Global Quality of life survey 2013 is presented and where Copenhagen is yet again ranked as the most livable city in the world.
Important criteria in this survey are safety/crime, international connectivity, climate/sunshine, quality of architecture, public transportation, tolerance, environmental issues and access to nature, urban design, business conditions, pro-active policy developments and medical care.
Since 2007 the Monocle has published an annual list of livable cities and the last time Copenhagen was number one was in 2008. The last couple of years Copenhagen has been solid placed as number three on the list by the renowned lifestyle magazine.
