In the studio/exhibition of the ceramicist Helle Duus Weiss in Roskilde you can experience untraditional, experimental Raku burned ceramics inspired by human beings, emotions and thoughts.

Helle Duus Weiss has many years' experience in working with ceramics and has developed her own recognizable style - experimental, curious and filled with symbolism.

She ignores prevalent precepts resulting in an experimenting process and unique works. Helle Duus Weiss works with Raku-, Pit and stoneware burning. However, she is most challenged and inspired by the Raku- and Pit burning where elements, colours and structure change during the entire process. This technique dates back to the 16th century's Japan.
