Øresund Aquarium
The Oresund Aquarium (Øresundsakvariet) in Elsinore (Helsingør), north of Copenhagen, is a part of The University of Copenhagen's museums and simultaneously a saltwater aquarium. The Oresund Aquarium is a local, small saltwater aquarium, which is close to the Sound and the northern port of Elsinore. During a visit to the aquarium you will get an impression of the world, which unfolds at the bottom of the Danish seas and fjords. The Oresund Aquarium opened in 1973, but was renovated a few years back. Touch aquariums for children and adults The aquarium is equipped with four different types of aquariums, among others two touch pools, one for adults and one for kids. During Danish school holidays there are often activities for families with children at the aquarium.
