Andersen Bakery is located in Copenhagen's Frederiksberg area. For over 50 years, the bakery has been faithful to the Danish baking tradition.
But actually it is the Japanese baker Shunsuke Takaki, who is behind the goodies.
He first came to Copenhagen in 1959, where he fell in love with Danish mentality and baking. In 1962 he established the first bakery in Japan to produce bread, cakes and pastries according to original Danish recipes.
Shunsuke Takaki dreamed of returning to Denmark and open a bakery in the heart of Copenhagen, and so he has - in the Nimb building in Tivoli Gardens - plus one in Østerbro and one in Frederiksberg.
In the bakery, you will find everything from pastry, cakes and bread to take with you, or you can sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and cake or bread roll.
