The Bacchus-child is a life-affirming little guy who stands with grapes in his hands and by his feet. Two snails with houses on their backs send a jet of water out of their mouths and onto the child figure. The Bacchus-child pays tribute to Bacchus, the god of wine and is from the artist's hand, conceived as "an opposition against a bad temper." Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen’s 3-year old son posed for the figure.
