Battery Hanstholm 1

The german battery, Hanstholm 1, was constructed in 1940, as a part of the german coast-defence in Denmark.

The german battery, Hanstholm 1, was constructed in 1940, with 4 17cm guns, as a part of the german coast-defence in Denmark, during World War II.

In the summer of 1942 the battery was finally in position, within the dunes south for Hanstholm lighthouse. The germans also made bunkers for the housing of canons, fire management, ammunition and for the protection of the soldiers. The bunkers lie as as ruins, today, and it is possible to get inside them and explore... but remember a torch!
