Just west of the Rathlousdal Manor can be found a genuine bear grotto. It originates from the time that the park area was around the manor was a popular place for day-trippers. It is located a few hundred meters into the woods.
The grotto housed several Russian bears and even though it is now some-what dilapidated, it is still easy to see where the bears slept and bathed. Children love to play bear and rummage in the old cages.
