Bishop Hans Adolf Brorson

One of Denmark's greatest hymn writers served as bishop of Ribe from 1741 until 1764. Hans Adolf Brorson lived in the Taarnborg building with his second wife and a large flock of children.

Brorson's hymn "The loveliest rose is found" can be heard daily at 08:00 an 20:00 from the Cathedral's carillon.
