The memorial is brought by DSB and staff organizations in honor of the railwaymen who died in service from 1847 to today.
The plant contains more than 800 names of the dead from 1900 onward, all housed in polished stones set in coarse chains.
There is also a smaller memorial panel for seven named railers who died in an accident at Hansted on December 26, 1876.
In the middle of the plant is a big common memory with the logo of the state railways at the top and on each side of the stone there are two minor points of interest.
On the southern edge of the Memorial, a memorial wall has been raised for state riders who lost their lives during the battle of resistance.
