2013 Eurovision Song Contest winner "Only Teardrops"
Emmelie de Forest's winning Eurovision song
Only Teardrops won Emmelie de Forest the Eurovision Song Contest 2013! The catchy Eurovision winner was written by Lise Cabble and Julia Fabrin Jakobsen and produced by Thomas Stengaard. The song was performed by Danish singer Emmelie de Forest who, with her sudden burst onto the Danish music scene, has had a fairy-tale year! Granted, the 20 year old already has several years of musical experience behind her through, amongst other things, her collaborations with Scottish singer-songwriter Frasier Niell. But it wasn't until she won the Danish Melodi Grand Prix 2013 that she received national recognition. As a duo, Emmelie de Forest/Fraser Niell have performed original material as well as interpretations of songs by artists ranging from Nirvana to Johnny Cash.
