Arbejdende Flintværksted - Stengaardens MinimuseumIn the village Bjødstrup on Mols, interested visitors can visit the small museum and the working flint workshop of Karen and Ivan Andersen.
Ivan Andersen, the flint smith shows regularly the production of tools and devices from the Stone Age. He works since 1974 with the production of tools from the Stone Age. Visitors are welcome to visit the small museum and the work of the smith. The exhibition in the museum encloses original findings from the Paleolithic age (from 10000 to 4200 years of B.C.) and original findings from the Neolithic Age (from 4200 to 1800 years of B.C.) .
The collection shows tools, hatchets, heads of the arrow, chisels, knives and many other working tools. Also the works of the flint smith are to be seen. A hatchet from the flint with which within 80,000 blows a real tree was liked in the selfattempt is noteworthy. The visitors have the possibility to take the tools in the hand to ascertain a difference to the original findings and it is possible to try out the tools once independently. As in the Stone Age adults and children can work on wood with a scraper, holes with flint tools bore, real hatchets trail and grind on a stone grain.
Connected to the museum is a small exhibition of home animal species and bird's kinds and minerals from the whole world are shown. Another space treats the Danish life in kitchen, living space, workshop, in the country and in the fishing hundred years ago with original exhibition pieces. The museum is roofed and also the flint smith works in the dry. Hence, a visit is also worthwhile in bad weather - then all activities are shown in the classroom. You take the respective opening times and the entry prices please from the point. Also there is regularly to see special exhibitions on certain subjects.
