Halloween in Tivoli

Halloween in Tivoli Gardens has become a dear tradition in Copenhagen. Every year, the old gardens are transformed into a Halloween universe with witches, scarecrows and lots of entertainment.

In just a few years, Halloween in Tivoli has evolved into one of the most important autumn events in Copenhagen, with both Danes and foreigners travelling far to be a part of it. This year, the amusement park once again presents a program packed with horror and fun. More than 40 stalls will be selling delicacies and crafts, the old gardens are dressed in their finest autumn colours and 20,000 pumpkins will ensure the right Halloween spirit for kids, teenagers and adults alike.

Zombie Dance Show and a haunted hotel

This year, you can experience a Zombie Dance Show at Plænen, where parkour performers and street dancing zombies, monsters and vampires show you their Michael Jackson-inspired moves. Saturday night on 25 October, you can meet even more scary creatures when the biggest monster parade of the year sets off with zombies, orcs, vampires and ghosts in impressive costumes.

If you want a truly scary experience, visit the famous Skærsilden, which will be transformed into a haunted house every day at 17:00 and where mechanic shock effects, rattling chains and eight actors will do their best to scare the living daylight out of you.

It is not all scary though: Saturday 11 October, the best pumpkin growers of the nation will bring their biggest pumpkins to Tivoli and participate in the 2014 Danish Giant Pumpkin Championships.

For the youngest

At the Pantomime Theatre, the entire family can enjoy Shane Brox’s “Vampire Mice House” show with live, white vampire mice. At Plænen, the kids will be kept entertained by performances by Pierrot, Harlequin, Columbine and a lot of friendly witches.
