Henne Kirkeby Kro - Kroens Brasserie
The inn & the garden
Henne Kirkeby Kro has, since 1790, been the neighbour of the church, within the hamlet, only a few minutes drive from Denmark’s West coast.
Right nearby lies the island of Filsø, where the famous bird painter Johannes Larsen found many of his designs in early 1900-century. He enjoyed hunting, and a good meal at the inn, where the art still plays a most important role. The old coaching inn is now filled with modern art photography.
Today, the inn belongs to Fænø Gods, operated by the Family Skouboe. The inn has recently been completely renovated from floor to ceiling, including luxurious double rooms.
From 2010 the neighbouring farm has also become a part of Henne Kirkeby Kro: With a small banquet hall, brasserie, meeting room and three new bedrooms.
The garden has over the last 200 years developed into probably the biggest kitchen garden in the country. It provides not only inspiration and fresh produce for the kitchen, but also enjoyment and relaxation for our guests.
Here, the term ‘farm to fork’… are not just words.
