Holsteinborg Church was built in 1728 by Chancellor Ulrich Adolph Holstein. The church has two floors. The altar piece is from 1725 and painted by King Frederik the IV’s Court painter, Hendrik Krock. It pictures “Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane”. On the ceiling you can see the founder couple’s coat of arms, the counts of Holsteinborg and Reventlow. In all essentials Holsteinborg Church appears as when founded. The baptismal font of red marble, the pulpit and the pews are all from the time the church was inaugurated. The church is built in one of the wings of Holsteinborg Manor and functions as an ordinary parish church.
