Hvass Sø

Hvass sø is a small oblong lake south of Store Økssø close to Arden.

The lake was artificially dammed in 1959, and is named after the former forest supervisor Jens Hvass.

The vegetation around the lake is notable because around 25 different species of conifers exist here. Between the species you can among others find weymouth pine, douglas fir, and noble fir.
