Karlby Church - Djursland - Eastjutland

Romanesque church, mainly made by chalkstone from the cliffs at the nearby coast.In one of the vaults there is a small hatch. During world war 2 the refugees, who hid on the loft of the church, opened the hatch to listen to the sermon while waiting for a shipping opportunity to  Sweden.Renaissance pulpit.
