Kashmir is both familiar and new
It's familiar because for almost 12 years it has served Indian specialties to the Copenhagen crowd, and new because a generation change has meant that this cozy eatery appears as a completely new experience. It is now the two young restaurateurs, Shamas and Iyaz, who with expertise from Indian cuisine daily run the restaurant.
The restaurant's interior presents itself as a contrast between black and white and reflects the latest fashion in India.
Classic, vegetarian and tandoori
The menu offers mainly classic dishes, but also many vegetarian options as well as a rich selection of tandoori dishes. The restaurant has one of those real clay ovens which has given name to this type of cooking (tandoor).
Quality is paramount at Kashmir. Here the emphasis is on traditional crafts and house-made spice mixtures.
