Kildeparken or ”Kilden”, as the locals call it, is one of the oldest parks in Aalborg. In the beautiful park, several activities take place all year round.
In the park, classical pieces of work by famous sculptors can be seen besides the impressive fountain which visitors in the park can admire while walking round in the scenic surroundings close to the centre of the city.
Events in the park
In Kildeparken, a very popular open air stage is located, and especially in the summer half of the year several events of international standards take place which each year attracts visitors from all over the world. Among other events, each year Kildeparken hosts the carnival in Aalborg in May.
The Singing Trees
In Kildeparken, ”the Singing Trees” are located. Here, famous artists have planted trees for Aalborg Culture and Congress Centre since 1987. Several of the trees can be activated so that the tones from the artist who planted the tree float from the speakers in the park.
Activities for children
Besides the already mentioned activities, a modern playground for children is located in the park too.
Each year in connection to the carnival, a separate children’s carnival takes place in the park in May.
Whether you are into art, cosyness, carnival, green areas or music, Kildeparken has something to offer to you.
