Kvak Mølle - tent site

© VisitDenmark

The tent site is located in a grassy enclosure close to the Vejle River that meanders through the Vejle Valley and the rolling downs of the region, which were created during the Ice Age. The valley offers scenic outdoor experiences and heritage highlights.

The tent site features toilet facilities, tables, benches and a campfire site. There is room for five tents. The accommodation is for free. The tent site is maintained by the Municipality of Vejle.

The nearby manor, Haraldskær, dates back to 1434 and is currently a hotel. The ruins of the old manor mill, Kvak Mølle, represents an age when there were many watermills along the river. The church, Skibet Kirke, which dates back to the 1100s and was until 1936 part of the manor estate, highlights a number of magnificent frescos from the 13th century.

Location
The tent site is located south of Skibet by the Bindeballestien Route (regional route 36), approx. 8 km west of Vejle.
