Mini-meetings
Purpose: To create a dialogue between participants and give rise to process input from the speakers.
Use
As a break during or after presentations. Also suitable in the middle of a longer plenary discussion during which not all participants have spoken. All you need is a neighbouring partner, so this works with any number from 4 to 4000 people.
Method
Talk to the neighbour about a topic that has just been discussed in plenary.
Why involve your meeting participants
Active involvement makes meetings more valuable because:
- It helps you make better decisions
- It increases networking and knowledge sharing
- It engages and motivates the participants
