Romanesque ashlar-church from about 1100 with some strange granite-sculptures from the Romanesque time on the south-side. A very beautiful alter piece from the late Renaissance.You find one of Denmark´s eldest fonts here, decorated with lions with human heads.
At Djursland there are a lot of beautiful and ancient churches. Each of them has their own story to tell, several of them have belonged to the nobility at Djursland. If you are going to explore the churches, you will see beautiful frescos, but also more modern art.
Every summer there is a lot of church concerts, exciting lectures and special events all over Djursland. Furthermore, there will be organized open-air church services.
