This unique experience begins even before you enter the museum. Follow the sloping bridge down into the former dry dock between Kronborg Castle and The Culture Yard and enter a fabulous underground museum, designed by the world-renowned Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) architects.
Dramatic exhibition design
Here you will meet a colorful world of numerous exhibitions telling the story of Denmark, as one of the leading maritime nations both past and present. The museum’s rich collections are evocatively and dramatically exhibited with large video projections on the architecture. Here you can see, listen and interact as you discover the maritime world.

The museum shop ‘M/ S Cargo’ is also worth a visit. Here you can buy interior design, arts, books, jewelry, scents and beauty products, toys and fashion. Everything is imbued with quality and modern design. The museum shop is also available online.
Ticket valid for both train and entrance
Through cooperation between DSB and the M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark you only need to buy one ticket for entrance and train in the Greater Copenhagen area, and achieve up to 50% off. The ticket can be purchased in ticket sales or 7-elevens at all stations in the Greater Copenhagen area for DKK 190.
