The Occupation Exhibit
Billund Museum has one of the country’s largest collections of artefacts from the German occupation, 1940-45. Part of the collection is on display at the old civil defence centre at Hedemarken 16 in Grindsted. The exhibition covers various topics, depicting everyday life in Denmark during the five years of German occupation, including shortages and rationing, the Gestapo presence and the resistance movement.
The Occupation Exhibit is open by appointment only. To view the exhibition, call +45 7972 7490.
