Orion Planetarium

Orion Planetarium shows various planetarium shows giving the audience an idea of the world of physics and astronomy.

Every hour you can lean back in the aeroplane seats and be initiated into the latest space research or watch how the night sky is used for navigation. The shows are a combination of film cuts, sound, light and stars shown by a special projector using the dome as the screen. You will get an idea of the world view of the old Vikings and the use of the heavenly body for navigation on the ocean. Or you can hear about the latest undertakings in astronomical research.

At the end of all shows the current night sky is shown – it is folded out on the dome above you by means of the elegant Skymaster-star-projector. On the following evening you will know more about the constellations on the night sky.

The exhibition area around the planetarium focuses on astronomy, space travel and physics with hands-on experiments. The shop offers toys and other curiosities with scientific inspiration.

In the adjacent observatory you can watch the stars and planets of the season through the telescope of the planetarium.

You find information about special events and holiday activities on the homepage of Orion Planetarium.
