Taxis are readily available; duration is
approx. 20-30 minutes.

Copenhagen, is connected by bridge with Sweden's third-largest city, Malmö. Rail travel time
between the cities is just 35 min. Rail travel from Copenhagen Airport to Malmö is just 20 min.

The official language is Danish. English is widely spoken.

The currency is the Danish Krone (DKK ), subdivided by 100 øre.

Credit Cards

Major international credit cards and ATM cards (CIRR US) are widely accepted. In accordance with EU regulation fees are no longer charged by shops or restaurants for the use of credit cards.

Voltage

The domestic electrical current in Denmark is 220-230VAC /50Hz. Sockets support standard twopole Euro-plugs (CEE 7/4/CEE 7/7). International travellers may require adaptors.

Denmark uses the metric system. Kilometers/meters/centimeters, kilograms/grams, and liters/deciliters/centiliters.

Time Zone

Denmark is in the Central European Time Zone (CET ), which is UTC +01 during winter and UTC +02 during summer due to Daylight Saving Hours (i.e. 6 hours ahead of U.S./Canada Eastern Standard Time)

Tipping

Service charges are automatically added to the hotel and restaurant bill in Denmark, so no further tipping is required. Tipping for outstanding service is a matter of choice, but is not expected.
