Puppet theatre in the King's Garden
Have some fun in the sun when the Puppet Theatre pops up in King's Garden with two daily shows, six days a week. The shows are free and take place in the open air.
During the summer months in Copenhagen, you can experience free puppet shows by the pavillion in King's Garden. The shows are approximately 25 minutes long and will be played regardless of the weather.
There are no words in the show. You can look forward to the following two:
1 June - 13 July: A Little Progress
An inventer arrives to his workshop in King's Garden and he has one task for today: To bake a birthday cake for his wife.
This reasonably simple task ends up leading the inventor far and wide. Nothing less than a journey from the sky to the ocean floor will it take before the inventor invents his own creature that can make the birthday cake.
Several experiences richer, the inventor can go back home with a true birthday feast.
15 July - 31 August: A day on the beach
A girl is going to the beach with her mother. The mom is tanning, the girl is building sandcastles, and everything is good. But all of a sudden little sand creatures appear from the sand and start stealing the things the girl brought to the beach.
The girl follows the creatures into a hole where she meets a big sandworm. But it takes more to throw the girl off and it turns out to be a fun day at the beach after all.
