A classic menu The menu offers all the classic smørrebrød including different kinds of herring, salmon, smoked eel, shrimp, fillet of fish, Dyrlægens natmad (“Vet’s midnight snack - a delicious sandwich consisting of a layer of liver pâté on rye bread, topped with a slice of corned beef, meat aspic, raw onion rings, and cress), Danish pâté, roast crackling pork with red cabbage, Tatar raw beef with an egg yoke on top, and frikadeller (Danish meat balls made of pork). If you are at a loss as to what to order, try the Copenhagen Platter or the Fish Platter, and sample a bit of everything. In summer, the restaurant offers outdoor seating in the beautiful old Nytorv Square in the heart of Copenhagen.
