Vacation in horse-drawn carriage: The quiet horse Nordbaggen walks in a calm pace, so there is plenty of time to enjoy Samsø’s pretty scenery. You can easily shop from the fruit- and vegetable stalls along the way and really study the quaint villages, the route goes through.
The trip has a specified route, as far as possible on small roads. When the week is over, you have been all around the island and have seen Samsø’s versatile landscapes: coastline, forest, moor and the fjord.
You spend the night on different camp sites, that are equipped with field for the horses to graze and gather strength for the next day’s ride. There is water, so the horses can drink, and you can be washed a little and get water for cooking. In addition there are tables, benches and fireplace, so you can have a nice and cozy evening.
The trip is planned so that you can close to Sælvig Bay, where there is a very child-friendly beach, in Nordby Bakker - a protected scenic area, by Vesterløkken near the source Ilse Made, by Ballen - where there is a lovely beach and a charming harbour.
Friday you head back to the farm close to Besser. If you arrive early, you can spend the afternoon for a walk on Besser Rev. On the farm there is a bathroom and toilet, so you can be freshened up a bit for the last night, where you can have fun and exchanged experiences at the bonfire.
Saturday we bid you goodbye!
