Sct. Knuds church, the Roman Catholic Church
The present brick building was erected in 1767. Its half-timbered predecessor was the first Catholic church built in Denmark after the Reformation in 1536. The tower was added in 1867, and the church is now the only one with a spire within the earthworks of Fredericia . It has a beautiful simple interior in the Rococo style. However, a significant part of the altar fittings are from the end of the 17th century. The building was most recently restored at the end of the 1980s. The Catholic congregation currently has about 300 members.
