Experience the Viking Settlement in Sebbersund – a fascinating insight into the Viking Age. By Sebbersund – close to Nibe and Aalborg, you will find what used to be one of the largest trading posts during the Viking Age.
The excavation of the Viking settlement in Sebbersund began in the early 1990s. Where the excavations took place, a group of volunteers reconstructed a pit house in 1999, where Viking activities are arranged each year. Amongst other activities, a Viking market is held each year. You can also discover how Viking families lived and what it meant to be a Viking child.
Furthermore, the settlement has a small exhibition with information on the area. This exhibition is open from April 1st to September 30th.
