One of the oldest and most wonderful parks of the Northern Jutland is ‘Skanseparken’ at the top of ‘Skansebakken’ in Nørresundby. The park is approximately 4,5 hectares and was originally landscaped in the 1600’s; a serious period in the Danish history as Jutland was occupied by the German emperor.
The amazing view of the city and fjord from ‘Skansebakken’ makes ‘Skanseparken’ a place where one can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax in beautiful nature and green areas.
To this day, ‘Skanseparken’ is one of the most beautiful parks in the council of Aalborg and a beloved place for excursions for the citizens of Aalborg and visitors from the rest of Denmark and abroad.
It is possible to go there by car, bicycle, by bus line 17 or on foot.
