A museum of cultural history for the municipality of Vejen, located at the historic Sønderskovgaard Manor. The manor house is a Baroque adaptation of a Renaissance building from 1620 and contains a number of interesting decorations, including wall paintings, oil-painted canvas hangings and exposed wood paintings. The museum features permanent exhibitions dealing with topics as the history of gardening, prehistoric finds from the region and the weaving schools in Askov. In addition, the museum holds special exhibitions based on particular themes all year round, as well as special events such as the annual Christmas at Sønderskov fair.
The Museum has also recreated an area of the old historic garten, which is runned by a voluntary group.
