Springeren - Marine Experience Center
At Springeren Maritime Centre, the visitors get to experience the unique life at sea in the Port of Aalborg and Aalborg Shipyards. You will experience historic events mixed with new technology which makes the visit at the centre fun and educational.
The main attraction is the last Danish constructed and Danish built submarine ‘Springeren’, and the world’s fastest gas-turbine torpedo boat ‘Søbjørnen’. Both vessels are placed on land and are open to the public. You can also try your navigation skills as captain of a modern high speed ferry in the museum's simulator and see if you can navigate the ferry safely in the Limfjord.
The museum has an exhibition focusing on the development of Aalborg harbour through the years. Among others, they have designed a shipbrokers office, as it would have looked in the inter-war period in Aalborg.
Aalborg miniature town
In the outdoor area of Springeren you will find Aalborg city in a miniature format. It has a collection of houses from Aalborg dating all the way back to 1870 in the scale 1:10. See the old city hall and Hjelmerstald.
At Springeren there are activities for everyone. Be a pirate for a day and go treasure hunting.
