Strandvejsristeriet - coffee shop

Enjoy a cup of freshly ground roasted coffee on the grounds of Kronborg Castle at North Zealand’s first micro-roastery, cafe and shop.

Strandvejsristeriet is so much more than just a regular coffee shop and cafe. It is North Zealand’s first micro-roastery, crafting quality coffee from the finest beans, shipped to Denmark from all around the world.

The coffee house is located in the UNESCO world heritage Kronborg Castle, inside a historic garrison building that supplied the castle's soldiers with food and provisions for 350 years. Today the selection of coffee would fuel anyone with enough energy either before or after exploring Denmark’s world-famous castle. And because the Danes love their coffee, it is important that this palace delivers the best around. Fortunately for everyone, they do just that.

Personal touch

Strandvejsristeriet is owned and run by Peter and Mille, who were inspired by their own passion for quality coffee to establish a unique environment for coffee lovers. Here you can enjoy both a superior blend and the aroma of freshly roasted beans drifting from the coffee workshop.

The cafe is open seven days a week all year round, except Christmas and New Year, delighting both tourists and locals alike with its impressive range. To ensure excellent quality, the beans are carefully selected and freshly ground and imported from countries such as Brazil, Columbia, Costa Rica and Ethiopia.

True coffee aficionados will find so much to enjoy, including a well-stocked shop where you can buy books, coffee makers, filters and accessories -  everything you could want to celebrate that glorious little brown bean!
