The Franciscan Friary Museum
Go underground with the elevator to see the well-preserved medieval ruins of the Franciscan Friary in Aalborg (Danish). The walled cellar and foundations at the friary chapel can be seen.
The Franciscan Friary was established in Aalborg in about 1250.
In the Friary models, finds and displays tell about the excavation of the friary and about friary life in medieval Aalborg.
You can order a guided tour at Nordjyllands Historical Museum, at phone: 99 31 74 00. They also offer arrangement for specific events in the Franciscan Friary.
