The manor Hindsels - Thyholm
In the northeastern corner of Thyholm, with an open view of the Limfjord, you find the estate Hindsels.
The manor house was built around 1760 During the Middle Ages the manor was owned by the Bishop of Børglum. Following the Reformation it passed to the Crown, and in the 1600s it belonged to various noble families.
In 1751, Hindsels was acquired by the Ringkøbing merchant Peter Isager, whose close connections with the Moravian Brethren involved him in the financing of the founding of their town Christiansfeld.
