The Urania Observatory

Explore the outer space and look at stars and planets through a big telescope. The Urania Observatory in Aalborg contains the largest publicly accessible refracting telescope in Denmark, giving closeups of heavenly bodies.

Besides having Denmarks largest accessable telescope, the observatory also contains a collection of instruments, photographs etc. from 1890. 

The Urania Observatory is a public observatory which is owned by Aalborg Municipality and is runned by volunteers from "Nordjysk Astronomisk Forening for Amatører".

Opening hours
The observatory is open during the winter from September to May.
Wednesday 7.30PM – 10PM and Tuesday and Thursday by appointment.
