Vejle Art Museum
The collections include Danish visual art from early Modernism and the pre-CoBrA times to the present day as well as pictorial art from the Danish Golden Age with motifs from the Vejle region. The museum also highlights one of the nation’s finest collections of classical European prints and etchings, including fifteenth-century art from The Netherlands such as 50 etchings by Rembrandt.
Vejle Art Museum also features temporary exhibitions with loans from Danish and international museums and collections.
Vejle Art Museum reopened in April 2006 following extensive refurbishment and the construction of a new wing designed by architect Kim Utzon.
Art library, museum shop, audio guides. Tours can be arranged. Disability access for wheelchair users.
Children will also enjoy a visit to Vejle Art Museum. Children aged 5–10 can take part in a fun picture game where they go hunting all over the museum for puzzles to solve.
The museum also includes a junior gallery with exhibitions especially created for children.
