Venø Church - Struer

Venø Church, the smallest church in Denmark, was built in the middle of the 16th century.

The original building was 7 metres long and had only one window. The nave was later extended, and the porch was added.

The church has a Norman baptismal font. The pulpit dates back to the 16th century. The altarpiece dates back to 1882. The side wings of the original altarpiecehang on the northern wall of the church. The island of Venø is an independent parish with 200 inhabitants.

The church is allways open.
