Vindum Church is placed near the village Vindum west of Bjerringbro.
Originally a Romanesque church, the building was altered substantially in the 1740s with the addition of the characteristic spire and onion dome. The church reflects closely the 300 year old relationship with Vindum Overgård Manor and there are several depictions of coats of arms and family graves. A very unusual crucifix can be seen in the chancel with the cross planted firmly in a cranium and the tree of life growing from the cross. It is said to be the only one of its type in Scandinavia.
The church is open when the gravedigger is there Tuesday to Saturday. Usually opening times are longer in summer than in winter.
