Vor Frue Kirke (Church)

The church was built around 1200. Tower, chapel and porch were added around 1400. Around 1880 the church had become too small for the fast growing population in Skive, and it was decided that a new church should be built. There were considerations of wether to extend the church or simply tear it down, but the discovery of the beautiful and unusually well-preserved murals from 1522, saved the church.
