Gone fishing
Anglers head to Funen for some of Europe's best coastal angling spots, particular good for catching sea trout. You’ll find great locations for angling on both Funen and the South Funen Archipelago.
Island beaches
As well as great beaches around the coast of Funen itself, the South Funen Archipelago also offers great opportunities for swimming. Since the distances are short between beaches, it’s never far to your own quiet bit of beach.
Sea islands
On the island of Læsø out in the Kattegat, you can access large stretches of untouched nature and the island is almost entirely circled by wide beaches, with seal colonies and other wildlife.
Where two seas meet
Stand in two different seas at Grenen, Denmark’s most northerly point or visit Råbjerg Mile, Denmark's largest shifting sand dune, which is slowly moving from west to the east.
Surf's up!
You’ll experience superb conditions for windsurfing, with some of the best in Europe found at Klitmøller, on the West Coast.
Cycling
Cyclists love West Sealand, with its many sign-posted cycle routes and easy access from Copenhagen. Hike the area’s many popular sign-posted routes, such as those across the Odsherred peninsula.
Built for bike lanes
Copenhagen is covered by 350km of cycle paths and lanes which are raised from the road and really safe to cycle on. Some city junctions even have flashing lights when cyclists approach to warn drivers before they turn.
Calm, sheltered waters
West Sealand has a seemingly endless coastline. You can find many, family-friendly beaches with calm, shallow water along the Great Belt coast. Sejerø Bay on the Kattegat coast offers you some of Sealand’s best beaches, with fine, white sand and dunes.
Cycling
The gently undulating landscape of South Sealand and the flat islands of Lolland and Falster are great places to get on your bike and cycle round the region. Cycle routes are easy to find and well sign-posted.
Golf
You can play on many North Sealand golf courses as a non-member and they are close enough to each other that you can try different courses out over one holiday. You'll find courses for golfers of all abilities in the region.
