Bryggeriet Apollo
When the Apollo brewery – situated next to Tivoli’s main entrance in Copenhagen - opened in 1990, the concept of in-house beer production was brand new in Denmark.
The guests now had the opportunity to follow the beer production at close range – and enjoy the home-brewed foamy draught beer just a few yards from the handcrafted copper kettles placed at the very heart of the room.
The brewery can best be described as a mix between an elegant traditional pub and an informal but high-quality restaurant with a open view to the beautiful brewing kettles. Sparkling and full of life they form the birthplace of A Hereford Beefstouw’s fresh draught beer - they are its very soul.
The Beer
The brewery is run by a brewer who produces the beer with a deep respect for the old traditions of craftsmanship. Malted barley, water, and yeast are transformed into a freshly brewed draught beer once every month.
Eleven months of the year, we introduce a speciality - our 'Beer of The Month'. It is a new exciting brew inspired by the great variety of brands from all over the world: cherry beer, weissbier, and maj-bock just to mention a few.
