Café Sommersko in Copenhagen serves Danish lunch.

When Café Sommersko opened its doors in the mid seventies, the aim was to break with centuries of local pub traditions and create a Parisian style café complete with imported furnishings and crisply uniformed waiters.

Thirty years ago, espressos, cappuccinos and lattes were unheard of. Those were the days when going for a beer meant sitting in near-darkness, behind leaded panes, with no exotic brands to choose from.

The the café is matched with good food and drinks calibrated to hit an upmarket clientele of business executives, lawyers, models, and wannabe-singers.
