DANHOSTEL Gjerrild is located on the tip of Djursland in a small, old village, close to a splendid beach and good fishing waters. Surrounded by large, beautiful private beech forests with hiking paths and close to Sostrup Castle, which is now a monastery. The hostel has been established in an old railway shed, and the location is renowned for its homely and charming atmosphere, clean and decent rooms and the good, ‘green’ kitchen, with plenty of food for everybody. The hostel is ideal for courses and groups of up to 70-80 people, and holiday activities include with vacation events including swimming, hiking and biking. Close by is the Djurs Sommerland amusement park, the Kattegat centre, Grenå, Århus, Randers, etc. The surrounding area is perfect for children, with a good playground and room for ball games.
