Danmarks Fugle Zoo/Danish Bird Zoo
Welcome to the loveliest, most idyllic bird zoo in Denmark.
The Danish Bird Zoo comprises an idyllic Funen landscape
with a well-kept nature reserve covering 7 acres of land.
A network of paths – accessible by the disabled – is laid
out in the park for experiencing the some 700 different
birds from all over the world that finely blend in with the
old trees, bushes and flowers.
The bird species include storks, ostriches, parrots,
web-footed birds and owls.
At Baby Zoo, everyone can see and experience
“from egg to chicken” and perhaps the even more topical
“which came first – the chicken or the egg?”.
The venue also features an interesting collection of old farm
implements.
There are areas throughout the park where it is possible to
eat a packed lunch or use one of the park’s barbecuing sites.
The small cosy Papegøje Café always serves freshly brewed
coffee with fresh-baked Danish pastry.
Behind the café patio is a good, challenging, child-friendly
playground with domestic animals for children to pet.
A host of interesting activities for children and adults alike
will be held in the large activity area throughout the season.
Stay informed at our website, and remember –
Denmark’s Bird Zoo is the “place where anything can happen”.
Dogs are not allowed, but visitors may use Fugle Zoo’s free
dog pens (Dog Parking).
